Max Gutierrez is a commercial DP with a knack for capturing those unrepeatable moments that bring truth—and humor—to visual storytelling. Over the years, he has built a reputation for lensing just about every celebrity in the business.

The American Society of Cinematographers has twice honored his work—first in 2005 with the A.S.C. Heritage Award for Outstanding Cinematography Honorable Commendation, and again in 2006 with a nomination for the same award. His cinematography has also been recognized by some of the industry’s most influential organizations, including Adweek, Ad Age, The Drum, The One Club, and the ADDYs.

A San Francisco native, Max earned his degree from UC Berkeley before completing his Master of Fine Arts at the USC School of Cinematic Arts. He now lives in Los Angeles with his wife and three children, and is represented by Intrinsic LA.
